Besides freezing here in the Pacific Northwest during Juneuary’, I’ve been busy working on building my business and networking on LinkedIn.

Other things on my mind; I’ve been thinking about how that U.S. Dept. of Commerce laptop came to be lost recently in China, specifically why, since it seems obvious as a plant.  The security troubles at Commerce have been well-known for some time, so it’s easy to appear to be part of an unfixed problem still.  It may be otherwise.  Speculate on what type of information we might wish to lose and to whom.

This strategic idea takes on more interest when you consider the potential of chipset-level rootkits, apparently just around the corner.  Start thinking about true Trojan devices ~ lose an iPod/iPhone/laptop/whatever on business on purpose…
